Curious and a bit morbid, this beautiful and living skull was so fun to create and dwell on. Even after we die, life continues on whether we like it or not. In this, I find real beauty and inspiration. Mushrooms are one of the most diverse organisms in our world and consistently are featured in my work. I absolutely love finding them, painting them and of course eating them!
Painted on archival watercolor paper that is handmade in France, this piece is set and mounted in an antique gilded frame that has been rebuilt, and restored. It comes ready to display behind beautiful antique glass.
